“David M. Sanborn is an impressive performer, and his enactment of the Biblical story of King David in this one-man musical displays his triple-threat credentials as dancer, singer, and actor. Furthermore, the religious fervor with which he infuses the show gives him yet another quality, making him a quadruple threat.”

-Backstage

David brings decades of professional acting and singing to the work of evangelization through faith-based musicals, one-man shows, film, voice acting, and vocal performance. In addition to his MA in Theology, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music-Theatre from Wheaton College and has performed regionally and internationally—including Off-Broadway and Broadway touring musicals—in such roles as Captain Billingsley in Amazing Grace, Tony in West Side Story, Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof and Jesus in The Miracle. Currently, he can be seen as Fr. Eli in the Pureflix TV series, The Advocate.

He has also co-written and performed in his own faith-based musicals—off-Broadway and on five continents—such as Ben-Hur in Judah Ben-Hur, Haversham in Little Lord Fauntleroy and Yeshua in Yeshua. As a voice actor, he has portrayed well over a hundred different characters and regularly lends his voice to the Amen App, Ignatius Press, Lamplighter Radio and many others.

At present, David is available to perform his one-man show, King David, which had an extended run off-Broadway. He also makes himself available to lend his writing, theatrical, and vocal talents to any projects that might advance the goal of evangelization.
